A double
entendre for a dual purpose. We created this poster to promote the
USA Film Festival, and mark the event’s 30th anniversary.
We chose the Roman numeral expression to mark the year, while alluding
to the (ahem) “mature” film industry. We positioned
the x-rated visual cue prominently, slightly off center, and slightly
out-of-focus, pandering to the roguish wit of festivalgoers.
