March 2000, Sub-Zero, refrigeration manufacturer and category leader,
entered the high-end cooking category with the purchase of the lesser-known
Wolf brand. Upgrading the line with style and technology, Wolf targeted
and attracted consumers who are passionate about cooking and uncompromising
when it comes to quality. After launching the new Wolf into a highly
fragmented and competitive category, the brand sizzled with 200%
growth in one quarter.
