Dick
began his career at The Richards Group (a $1.1 billion privately
owned advertising agency with its headquarters located in Dallas,
Texas) in 1977, fresh from the graphic design sequence at East Texas
State University. In 1978, he became one of the founding members
of RBMM (one of America’s premier creative firms) and, in
1992, he was appointed managing principal. In addition, he was appointed
managing principal of Click Here and Richards Interactive, the online
marketing affiliates of The Richards Group, in January 2000. In
2002, he also became managing principal of Richards Relationship
Marketing, a CRM company.
Dick’s
work has been recognized in all major national and international
creative competitions, and his work is included in the Library of
Congress. In 1998, Dick was chosen by the Dallas Society of Visual
Communications as the eighteenth recipient of its prestigious career
award honoring individuals who “have made the most significant
contribution to the advancement of creative standards in the Southwestern
United States… and have shown consistent excellence in their
field of creativity.”
His

Medical Center of Dallas; Dell Computer; EDS; FedEx; First USA;
Florida Department of Citrus; Frito-Lay; The Home Depot; Lomas Financial

Reliant Energy; The Rouse Company; Sprint; Texas Instruments; Travelocity;
TV Guide; USA Cycling; Viad Corp; and Wyndham Hotels and Resorts.
Currently,
Dick serves on the board of Creative Circus in Atlanta and is an
advisor to the Texas chapter of the American Institute of Graphic
Arts. He also has been a director and officer for Hope Cottage Adoption
Center and the Dallas Society of Visual Communications. He has taught
graphic design and illustration at his alma mater and lectured at
numerous universities and creative organizations across the country.
On
weekends, you may find him ranching or at a soccer match. Dick and
his wife, Debbi, have two sons, Jay and Jess. |
